10 phones with 3G plus Wi-Fi under Rs. 10,000

Posted on 02:19 by Unknown

Affordable Spice The phone market is vast and growing by the day. Today, even for those with a shoe-string budget, the options are many. Of course, you may have to compromise on factors like screen resolution, camera and even media capabilities to certain extent. But if ease of connectivity packaged in an affordable phone is what you are looking for, then the mobile terrain won’t disappoint you. In our quest for sub 10K phones featuring 3G and Wi-Fi, we found more than a handful of phones. We’ve listed here 10 such phones that you can look at starting from the lowest priced one.

Spice Mi-280 - Rs. 4939
Sporting an attractive price tag, the Spice Mi-280 is apt for those on a tight budget but don't want to compromise on 3G or Wi-Fi. Spice’s Mi-280 is a compact phone with power packed abilities in its own small way. Though cheapest among the lot, its a pretty nifty Android phone running on Gingerbread with a slick interface, some good multimedia capabilities and some neat app support. If you’re looking for a powerful budget phone, then look no further than the Mi-280. Click here for a complete review.

  • 3G, EDGE/GPRS and Wi-Fi
  • GPS with A-GPS support
  • Bluetooth V2.1 with A2DP and USB
  • 3.2MP rear camera, 0.3 MP front facing camera
  • FM radio
  • 134MB internal memory + microSD card support up to 32GB

Nokia Asha 302 – Rs. 6285
For those looking for a basic, easy to use QWERTY phone, Nokia comes to the rescue. It is a cool option for those who can't handle the nuances of a touchscreen display. The QWERTY ensures quick messaging while the phone runs on Symbian 40 5th edition, so one can also enjoy trending social capabiliies such as WhatsApp. The phone is powered by a 1GHz processor to deliver decent performance. Overall, it appears to be a value for money device and a good choice for novice users.

Spice Stellar Craze MI- 355 – Rs. 6599
The next in our list is the Mi-355 from Spice’s Stellar range. This dual SIM handset is fuelled by an 800MHz processor and infused with Android Gingerbread (upgradeable to Ice cream Sandwich).   This budget-friendly phone embeds a 3.5-inch capacitive screen for crisp images, which is large enough considering the price point. Looking at the price and the spec sheet, it appears to be a neat option for users looking for a touchscreen budget device.

Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 – Rs. 6600
If you are looking for your first smartphone, then Samsung Galaxy Y could just be the one. Don’t be put off by it’s diminutive size, as the phone is packed with features and most importantly reasonably priced, which makes it quite a steal. Powered by Gingerbread and 830MHz ARM v6 chipset, the browsing experience is quick and relatively fluid. However, the screen resolution leaves a lot to be desired. This budget-friendly Android phone is a great option for those who want to get their hands on an Android-based smartphone for cheap. The hardware may not be ace but the quality of audio and videos is good. If you want a super-cheap Android device, which can also be used as an audio/ video entertainment while on the move and also allows you to occasionally browse the Internet, check e-mails and navigate, the iBall Andi is worth its price. The device may not be a task master at productivity, but for the price, its worth considering. Read the full review here.
