Microsoft launching Surface Tablet on October 25th
Microsoft has sent out invitations to the usual U.S media, to a “Surface Reception” event in North America this October 25th where Windows 8 is expected to be launched.
According to the Verge, the Windows 8 debut will be accompanied by the launch of Microsoft’s much-anticipated Surface tablet which would be available starting midnight October 26th. Apparently there will be Microsoft Pop-Up stores that will open for the Surface launch at midnight, with the regular Microsoft stores selling it on October 26th.
Still no word on pricing of course, but hopefully we’ll know that at the Surface tablet launch. Expected to be about $300 to $800 though.
Microsoft launching Windows Phone 8 on October 29th
Along with the Windows 8 and Surface Tablet launch invites, Microsoft has also sent out invitations to select media, to a Windows Phone 8 launch happening in San Francisco this October 29th.
No word on anything apart from the date, but hopefully Microsoft will announce a launch schedule for their smartphones like HTC’s Windows Phone 8X and Windows Phone 8S, along with the Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820.
Looks like it’s finally going to happen, eh?
