Zynga Launches ChefVille Game On Facebook, Sends Real-World Recipes To Players As They Level Up

Zynga Launches ChefVille Game On Facebook, Sends Real-World Recipes To PlayersNow that Zynga's uneasy relationship with Facebook is a thing of the past, it has strengthened its association with the social networking giant by launching a new cooking-themed game calledChefVille. Essentially a spiritual successor to the company's earlierCafé World, the title claims to bring a new Game to Table model that offers you recipes to try out in your own kitchen as you progress through the game. You can also expect a Table to Gamecontest in the future, wherein users can send across their own recipes to be included in the game.

In this app, you will have to create virtual dishes from the provided ingredients, learning the art of cooking in the process. In classic Zynga style, it encourages you to borrow stuff from your virtual neighbours in order to come up with gourmet masterpieces. The game has launched with well over 200 included recipes, and will send 50 of those to its members for them to recreate in real life. For those all set to don their cooking hats, you can expect recipes such as Confit de Canard with Potatoes au Gratin, Miso Soup, Bruschetta, and Roasted Asparagus with Hollandaise.
If you've already tried your hand at Café World, this game will surely impress you as it offers a more interactive and complex experience. For example, you can make your restaurant's customers happy by sending flowers or a violinist over to their table.
Are you looking forward to having yet another "Ville" added to your Facebook profile, or are you dreading all the unwanted updates that will flood your Facebook feeds once your friends get addicted to this latest drug from Zynga? Let us know in the comments.
