EA And DreamWorks Will Release Need For Speed Movie In 2014Need for Speed has been more of a religion, than just a game. With sales figure of over 140 million units since the launch of its first title back in 1994, it is a premier title in its genre. Now, a movie adaptation of the game will hit theatres in 2014, with production beginning early next year, as announced jointly by EA andDreamWorks. The story for the movie has been written by Georgeand John Gatins and it won't be based on any particular instalment of the game, but on the series as a whole. The movie will be directed by Scott Waugh (oOf the Act of Valor fame). About the project, DreamWorks ChairmanSteven Spielberg said, "I'm excited about getting back into the creative trenches with John and George Gatins and my partners at EA to bring to life an exhilarating script based on an epic video game that seems to have been made for the movies".
